Newport Beach

After spending the day at Disneyland, we really wanted to take the kids to the beach. We spent the next day at Newport Beach. The weather was perfect! Ziya dropped Aydin off so he was able to spend more time with his cousin. Isik and Austin did some body surfing, and there were some good waves for that.

The dogs spent as much time as they could tolerate in the heat before I put them back in the shaded kennel.
After everyone was tired and ready for a break from playing in the water and building sand drip towers (Isik's version of a sand castle), we decided to walk down the boardwalk and get something to eat.

It was great to take the puppies for the walk. They were able to meet so many people and dogs. It was a great socializing experience, with all the bicycles, people, animals, and "busyness" going on around us.

We stopped at a pizza place and these people were awesome! They set up a table for us in the back so we could keep the puppies right by us and even brought a bowl of water for the pups without us asking for it. It is so refreshing to actually deal with nice people. It seems like everywhere you go these days everyone is just pissed off, this was a very refreshing experience.

After eating we continued down the boardwalk to the pier. As we were walking back to the truck, we decided to get some ice cream. Why not?

It is obvious Sam really likes ice cream. He just can't ever eat it fast enough!

By the time we made it back to the truck, we were all very tired and ready to take a nap. However, Sam was the only one that actually did it. In fact he never woke up, even when we took him out of the car seat, wiped him down, and put his pajamas on. He slept over 12 hours!
